Angie Marin Medina

Angie’s research focused on developing an analytical approach to determine the effective
flexural stiffness of slender masonry walls, an important factor for stability under various loads. Using an
iterative model based on differential equations and validated against experimental studies, the research
evaluated the impact of wall slenderness, reinforcement, and base stiffness. The findings contribute to a
more accurate calculation of flexural stiffness, supporting enhanced design methods for masonry walls
under axial and lateral loads.
