Camila Patiño Mendoza

Camila’s research investigated an innovative masonry block design aimed at enhancing
thermal efficiency without compromising structural integrity. Through experimental and numerical
analyses, the study examined the thermal resistance and structural performance of a novel concrete
block with CFRP webs, finding a 200% improvement in thermal resistance compared to standard CMUs.
Recommendations included further refining the block design to optimize manufacturing and exploring
alternative materials for better thermal and structural performance
