Kingsley will be assessing connections between partition walls and adjoining elements. This was mentioned as being a gap in our current standard with these connections being treated largely as an afterthought which may make them at best uneconomical and at worst dangerous in the event of an earthquake or similar event. Kingsley is waiting for space in the lab but has developed his test program to assess angle connections to partition walls. Currently, Kingsley is running finite element models on these connections to predict his test outcomes and is using these outcomes to write a conference paper to present at CMS this summer.
